News * New

hi, I'm Rachel (PR freelancer, ex-fashion school student and founder of TSF.com). I started the blog way back in 2005 (before there was barely anything about Toronto fashion online) and spent many really fun years documenting fashion and street fashion in Toronto!

I recently had my second baby boy and my days of fashion parties, designer shows and frivolous shopping are but a happy memory. I still work a little on the blog, do other freelance writing and PR when I can!

So, please don't feel offended if I haven't responded to your E-mail, party invite or store opening. I do pass invites along to other bloggers though and we try to cover what we can!

Thanks for reading!

Fashion Illustration: Fashion Zoo

You may have seen Toronto-based illustrator and Sheridan grad Melinda Josie’s kitty illustration’s in the current Little Burgundy campaign (shown). She works as a freelancer illustrating children’s books, doing editorial work, creating textile designs, and making fine art for gallery shows and commissions – but I think she’s on to something with these fashionable cats!

Another Toronto resident who also studied at Sheridan (Interpretive Illustration) is illustrator Chloe Cushman – her well-dressed subjects happen to be giraffes and lions – love it!

Fashion Calendar: Paule Trudel Bellemare

Friday, January 7th, 2011

Paule Trudel Bellemare is a FIT trained fashion illustrator living in Montreal, with a client list that includes many children book publishers and TopShop designer, Norwegian Wood. She sometimes exhibits her work in art shows and is even represented by an agency.
She recently produced a good-quality, 9×17″ 12-month calendar of new illustrations – and although it retails on her Etsy site for $50, it’s a great way to support local artists.

Vintage Fashion Art Prints and Posters

Friday, December 3rd, 2010

What do you get for the person who has everything? Everyone has everything so this question gets more tricky each gift-giving season. However, something that hangs on the wall is an idea – it doesn’t take up much space and doesn’t add to people’s clutter.

I found these on allposters.ca – an awesome site with thousands of art prints and posters. Another great idea for prints and posters is museum stores.
