Kill It - Camouflage is Dead

Please, enough camouflage fashion.
It sucks.
It makes me want to be sick when I see it.
It is old news.
It is dull and boring.
It is not fashionable in any way at all.

Have a bloody camouflage bonfire already!!!

DMC T-shirt Homage to Tunes

I lost count how many people asked me last week what DMC was all about. The DMC DJ Championships competition is for a select few DJ's who have mastery of the high art of turntablism; spinning vinyl, beat matching and scratching. Toronto's Mod Club was host to the 2007 spin-off this Friday and was packed out by a gladiator-fueled crowd itching for a show from the ten Canadian finalists.

Torontostreetfashion was there to find out what is the DJ crowd's fashion aesthetic. Overall it was a basic, but classic uniform of statement T-shirt with jeans. Did notice that many of the T-shirts sported a music theme that paid tribute to music influences across many genres.

The DMC Canada DJ Championships have been held recently in ten cities across Canada. The 1st place winner of each Canadian elimination heat are then lucky enough to compete for the opportunity to represent Canada at the 2007 DMC World Finals taking place in October in London, England.

g-sus and ADIDAS fashion show at Ultra

On the rooftop of Queen Street’s Ultra SupperClub, g-sus and ADIDAS teamed up to showcase some stylish looks for summer at KatwalK, the club’s weekly fashion-themed party. Adding to the spectacle was electro-sensation Fritz Helder and dancers Pastel Supernova and Diego just off of Nelly Furtado’s summer tour.

Drawing a cool crowd of fashion followers, the runway was awash of vivid colours, cool kicks and sexy street-inspired style. Styled by celeb-stylist Maha and g-sus brand manager Charlotte Jenkins, the looks were sporty and fresh.

Watch for g-sus to make another splash on the Toronto fashion scene during L’Oreal Fashion Week in October. In the meantime check them out online at http://www.g-sus.com/.
