More Well Dressed

I came across these great pics, taken this past Spring 2008 at Fashion Week in Toronto. I 'm hoping to go through ALL my thousands of photos and find good ones that were never posted...:(

Fashion Week Black (Trends III)

It's really an understatement to say that many people wear black everyday, everywhere and at every event. It barely stands out and doesn't photograph well so I rarely take photos of people in all black - here are a few exceptions...

Fashion Week Noose (Trends II)

Y'all know we documented the scarf thing a year ago (and even that was pushing it)- but as all street trends evolve, its moved on to the masses. Big designers presented a variety of neck wraps on runways this past fall and now pretty girls, older folk and even 15-year-olds are all wrapped up in over-sized scarves.

Fashion Week Greydom (Trends I)

We watched editors, models and designers draped in grey, grey, grey all over Paris and NY fashion weeks - and even Toronto fashion followers are sporting the most common colour of the week.

On the Street...Retailer

Jay Barrigar, Little Black Dress Shop

Another fashionista-in-the-know dressed all in grey for fashion week, Jay Barrigar looks ever so smart in Canadian labels (oh I wish I remembered them all!).

Rita Zekas, Journalist, Toronto Star
"I'm very eclectic and totally believe in recycling (clothing)!"

We ran into Rita at the Town Shoes/Phillip Sparks show and were immediately attracted to her fabulous Zola leather sack! Although she's fully dressed in grey (apparently the fashion week standard), the patent Chanel boots and playful accessories made her a stand-out success!

Roz Griffith Hall, Stylist

Not afraid to answer fashion week's foremost question, "Who are you wearing?", top Canadian stylist, Roz Griffith Hall is decked out in tons of Canadiana in support of the cause!
Next time we run into her, she may be sporting Nada - the designer was sensible enough to stock her up with a few fabulous pieces - as an extra thanks for styling the Wednesday show!

On the Street...Holts Buyer

Jason Morikawa
Buyer, World Designer Lab, Holt Renfrew

Expect nothing less than head to toe designer labels on a buyer from Holt Renfrew - and this is simply everyday work wear for Jason!
As a buyer for Holts' World Design Lab, one of his goal's is to bring in more Canadian labels. He looks for key pieces and has an eye out for cool underground labels.
