[ FAT] 'Real' Model Auditions

With only a month to go, Alternative Fashion Week [FAT] organizers are pulling together major details of the 3-day production! This past weekend, Extreme Fitness and the Ben Barry Agency added their support to 'Models&Mirrors' - a casting call for [FAT] models.

Although professional models graced the runway the last two seasons, organizers have opted for 50 everyday people to ‘mirror’ the beauty of the world around us.

[FAT] runs April 9-11, 2008 at the Distillery District. Stay tuned for updates, highlights and key info!

Who will be CNTM?!

Canada's Next Top Model Finale Airs Wednesday, July 18th on Citytv

With seven episodes down and only four girls remaining, "Canada's Next Top Model" is ready to crown its winner on the exciting season finale this Wednesday @ 8 p.m.

They've taken on nude photo shoots, pole dancing, a team of hockey players, window washers, not to mention the expert panel and an entire season of drama with the six other model hopefuls. But now it's down to Rebecca, Sinead, Tara and Tia, one of whom will walk away with a $100,000 beauty contract from P&G Beauty, a modelling contract with top agency Sutherland Models and an editorial spread in FASHION Magazine.

Too-Thin Model Debate

The international fashion debate over model weight and welfare has been raging for over a year now, and the question remains:

'Why is it the models that are constantly attacked for being underweight?'

Sonja tips the scales in defense of these genetically thin and mostly vulnerable working girls (read here).

We'd love to hear what your thoughts are about the state of skinny:
