L'Oreal kicked off the week with its hair and makeup show. Touted as the first ever show featuring only beauty, it was a mixed bag of themes, colours, video and runway.

L'Oreal chose to display its spring/summer colour palettes on stark white pieces from 25 Canadian designers who will be showing their lines later on in the week.

The theme of Fragmented Time, with birth, childhood, and emergence coupling with nostalgic longing for the days of hand-crafted and custom-made pieces showcased powdery pastels versus hard candy colours. Evoking sweet childhood innocence with cotton-candy pinks, blues, and lilacs, L'Oreal focused on big hair and fun 50s styling. Dreaming of unicorns and castles in the sky? This is the season for you.
