“World Piece” — Designers Without Borders

The Fashion Design Council of Canada (FDCC) hosts its thirteenth season of L’Oréal Fashion Week Fall Collections beginning March 13th through March 17th, 2007 at the grand dame of event venues, Liberty Grand (25 British Columbia Road) in Toronto.

“We have chosen ‘PEACE’ as our fashion week tagline”, says Robin Kay, President of the Fashion Design Council of Canada. “Designers design without borders in mind and it is easy to take freedom of action for granted. As we spend our energy agonizing over the “piece” that defines our own fashion world we want to speak of our country as an integral component in both fashion and political globalization.”

L’Oréal Paris, the title sponsor of the week, will enhance the runway designer collections with their Fall ‘07 hair and makeup trends as L’Oréal hair and makeup specialists, Eddie Maleterre and Eric Del Monaco work closely with the designers to create the looks inspired by the collections.

Ford of Canada will elegantly chauffeur guests this year in the Ford Fusion. A special designer contest, hosted by Ford of Canada will be announced during L’Oréal Fashion Week. Winners will be announced at the October Spring/Summer shows ‘07.
