Design team Patrick Larrivee and Beryl Bacchus presented “Bullets and Bracelets” : a collection inspired by Wonder Woman’s power and signature bracelets on both wrists. While the beribboned corsets may be getting a little tired, using unusual fabrics such as waffled wool helped to freshen up the look. The collection takes a turn for the better with shimmering gold brocade paired with grey flannel skirts and swing shorts. Lavender grey silk charmeuse is beautifully draped on a cowl-hooded, but bare backed gown. A massive fur bib offering sensual but precarious coverage was paired with a tuxedo skirt. Fashion Psychology works best when the fabric itself become an object of obsession. Liza Zadwazkaphotos Christina Pal |
