Ashley Stellar and Jodi Posh take on Fashion Week

We arrive on the scene at L’Oreal Fashion Week on Day 2, Tuesday March 14th. Dressed to kill [of course], Jodi in black-and-white striped tights with a chic black trench; Ashley in black bouffant lace skirt, cropped black tights, and military jacket. Needless to say- we were ready to hit the floor and use our Journalista skills to the max!

This season Fashion Week is held at the Liberty Grand- which is a change from last spring at Muzik. As we enter the building, we're greeted at the grand foyer, which leads to many different rooms. There are various displays in each room. Silent auctions of gorgeous garments fill the majority of the rooms- each piece displayed beautifully.

We both agree that last year’s setting in the Muzik building was much more intimate. There was a better vibe lingering as the fashionistas sipped their cocktails together in one large room.

But now, the media tent calls our name, and so does the delicious dinner. We, the dazzling duo, make our way inside. The place is full- as the Izzy Camilleri show just let out- and the press is evidently starved. We manage to score some room on the sofa.

8:00 Joeffer Coac

We head inside, losing track of time. We find seats in the back and wait for the show to begin. This show is important as Joeffer Coac is one of Toronto’s most important designers.

Ladies and gentlemen, prepare for fabulousness! Sultry ruby red, charcoal and deep navy are the colours of the evening. Tailored jackets with flattering diagonal patterns paired with wide leg, flared woven trousers. Gothic inspired layered laced tops, and elegant velour dresses were combined with the common stocking arm bands and tights [trend alert!].

We were quite impressed with this line. The only thing we didn’t particularly like were the single-strapped dresses! Not fans of this look.

Overall, the collection is a bit darker, with luxurious textures and deep shades - glamour, glamour, glamour!

Toronto Fashion Week gets more exciting as the seasons progress. Each year, it features more Canadian talent, and this year was no exception. We're going to keep watching our reputation for great design, flourish and grow. Everyone should be attending these shows! For more Fashion Week adventure, check out Sonja's journal. We, Jodi Posh and Ashley Stellar are off to discover more fashion glitz and glamour. We'll keep you posted, fashionistas!

Our Favorite Swag Bag Product

In our media bags we found some great goodies. My favourite by far is the Volume Shocking mascara! It's a two-step application, and the result is EXTRA LONG, DEFINED, GORGEOUS lashes that flutter. Now, I've tried these two-steppers before, and have not been pleased. The first coat is almost conditioning to the lashes. I've had people ask me if I'm wearing false eyelashes. It washes off easily, too. If there's anything your make-up bag needs, it's this mascara!"
