News * New

hi, I'm Rachel (PR freelancer, ex-fashion school student and founder of TSF.com). I started the blog way back in 2005 (before there was barely anything about Toronto fashion online) and spent many really fun years documenting fashion and street fashion in Toronto!

I recently had my second baby boy and my days of fashion parties, designer shows and frivolous shopping are but a happy memory. I still work a little on the blog, do other freelance writing and PR when I can!

So, please don't feel offended if I haven't responded to your E-mail, party invite or store opening. I do pass invites along to other bloggers though and we try to cover what we can!

Thanks for reading!

Winter Boots Begone!

Thursday, April 7th, 2011

Spring is in! It’s time to retire those winter boots and slip into something more comfortable (well, at least more sexy). Because we all love shoes (and Tommy Ton of JakandJil for making shots of shoes so popular), here are some of my favourites spotted at Fashion Week.

Cocktail Looks @ ROM Prom: Into the Wild

Tuesday, April 5th, 2011

The Royal Ontario Museum’s (ROM) Young Patron’s Council fundraiser, ROM Prom invited attendees to dress up while taking cues from the ‘rowdy canopy of rainforest trees, a deep ocean brimming with life or a dry desert habitat hissing with activity.’ Basically, they were calling for lots of feathers, fur and masks!

Although many ROM Prom guests dressed according to the ‘Into the Wild’ dress code, there were many that kept it simple by digging out their regular cocktail dresses and suits, but still attempted to be a little wild with feathery accessories.

Gotta Love the Boys @ #LGFW

Tuesday, March 29th, 2011

Just wanted to share these photos I found of tagged friends on Facebook. Rolyn, in the first photo, always looks great – and I wonder if those boys in the bottom pre-planned their matching outfits?!

Haute Couture Meets DIY – Sodom Style

Thursday, March 24th, 2011

“Sodom, Toronto’s decadent dance party, is inspired by the queer roots of creativity and cutting-edge cultures.” Basically, a dress-up theme party, every third Saturday at Goodhandy’s in Toronto.

Sodom Party Brings Out DIY Divas for Dancing & Debauchery

Tuesday, March 22nd, 2011

The Party’s Still Pumpin’ In the Village:

Every third Saturday of the month, the city of Sodom is resurrected in all of its glamour, sins and vice at Goodhandy’s on Church St., combining gay culture with a dose of Studio 54 in downtown Toronto.

Each party comes with a theme chosen by promoter Mitchel Raphael, and the crowd arrives in full regalia to indulge in a night of dancing and debauchery. Last weekend, was a double-whammy. Not only was the theme “Runway,” but it was also the coronation of Miss. Ivory Tower as the new Queen of Sodom. Needless to say, the fashion was seemingly endless as partygoers were given the dress code of haute couture meets DIY.
