The
Rage , 13 Kensington Market
The Rage is tucked ever so comfortably
in Kensington Market, amongst vintage alcoves, import emporiums
and the occasional hippie food joint.
It fits right into its neighbourhood
of eclectic fashion finds and one-of-a-kind bargains, except that
every piece up for grabs in the store is locally produced by some
of Toronto's up and coming designers. Prices are amazing and you
can bet that whatever you buy is most likely designed, sewn and
embellished by each designer.
Jen Fukishima of Paper
People Clothing hand paints her popular Day of the Dead
dresses; Amanda Bowles of Wist spraypaints, stencils
and stitches her funky line of stand alone t's; and Allison Wells
of Papersnake Jewellery dissects and re-assembles
earrings made of plastic fauna and fowl.
Merchandise is ever-changing,
offering shoppers a reason to stop by again and again!
