Skirt is our newest favorite girly girl shop,
located on the up and coming trendy Dundas Street West strip (well,
actually it’s about 2 blocks of trendy). Owner Jamie Dowdles
fills her small space with the unique wares of Canadian designers
and manages to keep prices reasonable (everything under $250).
Like a warm and inviting crafty closet of everything
feminine and unique, you’ll find everything from Margie
jewellery, Nathalie-Roze hats and birdie brooches, Teresa
Octtavia handbags…belts, scarves, and even ties for ladies.
And then there’s the clothes. With no room for basics, we
found gorgeous cropped pants with matching handbags by ‘Thieves’
designer Sonja Denelzen; Fauna shirts, Passenger Pigeon
signature printed summer dresses and Karamea flower appliqued
tops.
Whether you’re looking for a distinct addition
to your wardrobe or need a special gift for a girl friend, Skirt
makes the trek to Little Portugal worth it!
