News * New

hi, I'm Rachel (PR freelancer, ex-fashion school student and founder of TSF.com). I started the blog way back in 2005 (before there was barely anything about Toronto fashion online) and spent many really fun years documenting fashion and street fashion in Toronto!

I recently had my second baby boy and my days of fashion parties, designer shows and frivolous shopping are but a happy memory. I still work a little on the blog, do other freelance writing and PR when I can!

So, please don't feel offended if I haven't responded to your E-mail, party invite or store opening. I do pass invites along to other bloggers though and we try to cover what we can!

Thanks for reading!

Concrete Bling

Thursday, September 30th, 2010

Came across these really cool, sort of organic-like rings by Erin Tracy – there are many collections to browse and shop through – including jewels set in wood, concrete and other earthly materials. $$$

Old Navy Does Celeb ‘Street Style’

Wednesday, September 29th, 2010

This is not something I would normally post – an Old Navy flyer – however, I think their latest marketing efforts are genius! As a retailer/manufacturer – what a clever idea to very simply show people exactly what to buy and how to wear it…

(Old Navy/The Gap/Banana Republic now ship in Canada).

Parts & Labour Interior

Monday, September 27th, 2010

Parts & Labour is a Parkdale artsy collab that’s part restaurant, part music venue, part bar. Apparently a magnet for the ‘grown-up’ hipster (and/or the ones with cash), it’s decorated with long communal tables and bar stools re-purposed from truck springs. A myriad of pot lights over the bar are actually recycled fire extinguishers that have been chopped in half and powder coated.

I can’t speak for the food (includes things like fried pig face, sea bass carpaccio, heirloom beets, pickled blueberries); but I love these pics of the interior – Designed by Castor (Brian Richer and Kei Ng).

Marc by Marc Jacobs VisionSpring Tote at Holt Renfrew

Sunday, September 26th, 2010

Gotta love when fashion teams up with a great cause. Available next week is this limited edition Marc by Marc Jacobs tote exclusively designed for Holt Renfrew. Not only is it a steal at $48 but a portion of each sale goes to VisionSpring, an organization that provides eyeglasses throughout the developing world.

The tote comes in four colors blue, pink, black and white. It hits Holt Renfrew locations from September 30- October 10 and is only available in-store on a first-come first-served basis so hurry in!
