FIVE New Labels Semi-Finalists

Five Ontario-based fashion designers have been selected as semi-finalists in TFI’s 2009 New Labels Fashion Design Competition:
Jody McMillan for Jody Leigh
Jenn Sadzak for The JenSa Collection
Cheryl Gushue for GushueSwim
Sonja den Elzen for Thieves
Faren Tami for Faren
They now advance to stage two of the competition. In February 2009, the judges will decide which three or four finalists will participate in the runway show to be held on April 23, 2009, at the Metro Convention Centre.
The winner of the TFI New Labels competition will be announced at the conclusion of the runway presentation. The winner of the competition receives a prize package valued at over $25,000 from ELLE Canada, including a full-page editorial in the magazine, a cash prize and an exclusive interview on ELLE Online.
