News * New

hi, I'm Rachel (PR freelancer, ex-fashion school student and founder of TSF.com). I started the blog way back in 2005 (before there was barely anything about Toronto fashion online) and spent many really fun years documenting fashion and street fashion in Toronto!

I recently had my second baby boy and my days of fashion parties, designer shows and frivolous shopping are but a happy memory. I still work a little on the blog, do other freelance writing and PR when I can!

So, please don't feel offended if I haven't responded to your E-mail, party invite or store opening. I do pass invites along to other bloggers though and we try to cover what we can!

Thanks for reading!

Goddess Glitter @ LGFW ss12

On Thursday (day four of Toronto’s LG Fashion Week), three power shows run back to back.

Bijoux Caroline Néron collection starts with the ethereal sounds of an operatic Eartha Kitt – it seems like the singer is Neron herself. Her jewelry collection is Goddess gorgeous – a myriad of shimmering chains drape around nearly naked models, with the spine bejewelled as the throat. Best is a pair of gauntlets attached to the collar with glittering strings of crystal – the whole collection is like a chandelier in a car crash (I mean that in a good way).

Bustle serves up signature stripes and periwinkle purple in an ultra preppy collection that is made to measure for the regatta set, and VAWK gets inspired by insects (below). The laser cut gold leather looks like it’s been stolen from the Hermitage, and even Lillian Pope was commenting on the artistry (and work!) involved in the inset patterns on the butterfly gowns.
