News * New

hi, I'm Rachel (PR freelancer, ex-fashion school student and founder of TSF.com). I started the blog way back in 2005 (before there was barely anything about Toronto fashion online) and spent many really fun years documenting fashion and street fashion in Toronto!

I recently had my second baby boy and my days of fashion parties, designer shows and frivolous shopping are but a happy memory. I still work a little on the blog, do other freelance writing and PR when I can!

So, please don't feel offended if I haven't responded to your E-mail, party invite or store opening. I do pass invites along to other bloggers though and we try to cover what we can!

Thanks for reading!

World Piece – Designers Without Borders
L’Oreal Fashion Week Pre-Party, Feb 13, 2007

In a swirl of white snow and a twirl of black fabric, Toronto’s fashion bigwigs convened at Proof Bar in preparation for the 13th fashion season of the L’Oreal Fashion Week Fall Collections, beginning March 13-17, 2007.

Robin Kay, president of the Fashion Design Council of Canada (FDCC) made an impassioned speech to the gathering of fashion designers, promoters, magazine owners and editors, fashion writers and fashion retailers.

“Designers design without borders in mind and it is easy to take freedom of action for granted. As we spend our energy agonizing over the ‘piece’ that defines our own fashion world we want to speak of our country as an integral component in both the fashion and political globalization.”

All guests departed into the cold snowy night clutching the hot of the press show schedule, inspired and anticipating Toronto’s largest fashion event.
